this man has been a force lately. I really expect him to get a call into the next camp.

This is a promising quote

quote:

And while Koreniuk said he is delighted by his opportunity with Holland, he acknowledged he would be very open to an invitation from the U.S.

“I think for sure [I would accept,]” he said. “I was born and raised in the country."

I know they can for the junior teams (if that's what they are called? - U16, U17, U18, etc), but once they play for the top team, are they allowed to switch?

If you play in an official FIFA sanctioned match for a full national team, you cannot switch

Jacole Turner (20) - Atlético Madrid

Went to my high school and was a very good keeper.

Really have no idea what is going on with him now though. He is apparently with one of their reserve teams I guess.

Was in Spain, came back to KC and was with Sporting KC this preseason, though not under contract. Now, he is back in Madrid I guess and not sure who he is playing with or at what level.

Luis Gil was a pretty bad omission on my part.

You could add Shawn Parker too, but he's more than likely staying with Germany.

OP updates in alphabetical order. It'll be fun to keep track.

Parker will play it by ear. A lot of folks in his position will see which team will go farthest, provide playing time most, etc. So many factors. Nobody wants to be another Giuseppe Rossi (ouch).

there's usually one or two 17 year olds at the world cup, but it's usually a freak youth talent like Pele or Sam Eto'o

I'm not so sure Zardes and Mullens should be included

Included Zardes because I think he's close to a call up. Mullins because Louisiana.
