Will it beat the GT500 in a 1/4 mile though? The Challenger is very heavy.

Top speed should be north of 200mph.

Holy shite. At an estimated $45-55k that's one of the best bargains on the planet.

Last I checked, those Dodges aren't part of the 24 or so million vehicles GM recalled.

EDIT: I still don't like the Challenger, but 700+ horsepower is a strong play. I can't lie. I'd like to get a chance to take one out and boil some rubber.

There you have it. This is exactly the kinda car I would love to have right when I retire someday and am looking for something stupid to blow money on.

And by stupid, I mean awesome. And everyone ripping Dodge sound retarded.

700 horsepower. SEVEN HUNDRED.

I wanna test drive one.

Apparently they will give the owners 2 fobs: one that limits the engine to "only" 500hp and the other that can utilize all 707hp.

Twin supercharger
6 speed Tremec tranny
Forged crank and pistons

Should be legit
SRT Hellcat Tech Page

Only problem is it weighs almost 4200 lbs.

4200 lbs. w 700 HP (flywheel HP) should put it at low 12 second 1/4 times.

Ferrari F12 runs 1/4 mile just over 10 seconds.

This is the car that has two keys. A black one for normal street that cuts the HP in about half and a red one that opens up the entire 700 HP so you can take it out to a track or road course and let 'er rip.
Also has a valet mode that keeps the car in first gear so some knucklehead doesn't pull a Ferris Beuller in it.

Yeah, she is a big girl but comparing it to a Ferrari is just wrong. Two way different cars built for two way different purposes/customers. Really the only thing they have in common is the Fiat ownership.

The exhaust on this thing sounds bad arse! LINK
