So I used to watch a decent amount of soccer when I had cable (the soccer channel). I had gotten away from it but this World Cup has made me a realize that I miss watching it. I figured the best way to get invested is to pick a team. I used to like watching Man U because they were always on and I enjoyed watching Dimitar Berbatov.

So I humbly ask the Soccer Board for some guidance. I enjoy watching good D and smooth ball control and passing. Who do you recommend?

Also, how would I watch the games without cable? Is there an app similar to NFL Sunday Ticket?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You will have the most fun supporting a team that regularly competes for the league title and the champions league (most important soccer competition other than the World Cup)

So basically choose Chelsea or Man U

No problem. It's a legit question. Things have been flying down the board fast today.

You couldn't measure how little I care about being called a "bandwagoner."

I know they're not an EPL team (and thus probably not on TV much) but does anyone still root for Celtic?

Ever since that old Rod Stewart song years and years ago I always think of them and Man U when topic of favorite British teams come up.

- I can't help much on the watching without cable question. Perhaps ESPN3? I don't know if you need to have cable to pick up games on that.

Everton. They have Tim Howard and quite a few players on Belgium. They are in the same city as Liverpool, their richer rivals. Everton is the team with heart fighting against the big boys and finish fairly high isualfly

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say most if not all the guys on here are neither from nor have ties to the English cities from which these clubs hail from.

You're all bandwagoners.

Chelsea has a great D and great passing with Hazard, Oscar, and Fabregas.
