It won't be much longer before he's in the majors. Nice to hear he's improving already.

i wonder if Nola is at that stage where they're breaking his mechanics and delivery down to rebuild them...

Sean McMullen is hitting .386 after 44 AB's for the Astros rookie-league team (Greeneville) of the Appy League.

No.

Instead of changing Nola, the Phillies decided to have all their other pitchers watch Nola's mechanics and told them

"Do what HE does!"

Considering his unbelievably consistent mechanics and 3/4 arm slot are a huge part of his success and why scouts were drooling over him, I doubt this.

I don't want to speak on his behalf, but I think he was making a joke.

Also, Nola

Stro, being from the N.O. area, you understand Chalmette humor better than we do!

I would like to see Nola develop a cutter. Having as much movement as he does on his 2-seamer, I think he would leave hitters baffled not knowing which way the fastball will be moving.

I would hope so, a good D1 college senior hitter should be able to destroy rookie league pitchers

Also, Matt Clark was released by the Mets

I don't understand why he keeps bouncing around. He has been a consistent good contact, good power guy for several years in AA/AAA
