I lived near Las Cruces, New Mexico about 12 years ago and it was really something to behold back then.

Anyone been impacted by what's been going on now or seen it first hand? Just curious if anyone has any accounts of their own.

TIA

...I think we all can assume border is simply a technicality, like the City of Baton Rouge and unincorporated parish.

I've been working/living on the border for about 4 years now. The POE's near me are fairly quiet compared to places like Nogales, Juarez, Tijuana, etc. The last border patrol agent that got killed was about 5-8 miles from my house but that was friendly fire. It really depends on where you are, but most of the time (especially in border towns), you can tell who the players are and you are careful not to be too obvious when you eyeball a sexy senorita.

Now they (Townhall) are saying that the cartels put the military up to this and that they actually flew 8 miles into the US.

I worked in Ajo from Nov. '13 to Feb '14 and that is one desolate and remote place. I bet 1 out of every 4 or 5 vehicles you pass is some sort of LEO (BP, Customs, ICE, DHS, Sheriff, Reservation Police, Etc). Even with all that man power, that area remains a super highway.

Yes, they are flying in 140 illegals to Yuma airport then transporting them about 45 miles to El Centro, California. They are supposed to be bringing in more at another date.
