I want to kill all the grass in my back yard and replant it. It looks like shite, has a few bald spots etc... My intentions are to till it down after the grass dies about 4-6 inches. When is the best time of year to do this? Im located in South LA.

Right before first frost. Then you get to enjoy the mud hole for the whole winter.

Spray MSMA and the native bermuda will come. There is probably a lot there already. Once the MSMA kills the other grasses you will see the bermuda.

Way to late now. Early spring to resod your yard.
