Spare me the whole "take it one game at a time blah blah" stuff..none of us on the board are playing so who cares if we look ahead.
The only thing I know about either team is that Argentina has Messi. That's about it. So which team would we matchup better with were we to advance to next round?

I would so love to see the USA face Messi. It would probably be one of the most viewed sporting events in the history of the US. World Cup Quarterfinal against a world power in the sport and the best player in the world on 4th of July weekend. It'd be nuts!

Argentina has Lionel Messi.
That should answer your question.

Did you see the Swiss attacker epicly fail on that 1v1 with the keeper he had a little while ago? That should answer your question as well.
In all honesty, both defenses look pretty sloppy today. I think we COULD beat either if we were on our 'A' game. But then there's that whole Messi deal, and our defense would have more than a handful with him most likely.

The Swiss are getting behind the Argentine back line, either one would be a great match for us. What I do NOT understand, is you have guys like Higauin and DiMaria, yet all the eggs are in the Messi basket. Argentina could/should dominate.
I'd LOVE to knock them off.

In all seriousness, I think we could beat either one. And I would much rather beat Argentina than Switzerland. That said, Switzerland would be the easier match.
