Anyone think the Belgium game will draw record viewers for any American sport?

I doubt it breaks the Portugal game record. It's still a Tuesday.

It's a Tuesday when 3 time zones will be at work throughout the match

WHEN we play Argentina on Saturday, that will break the soccer viewing record.

Obama will make July 4 an extended two-day holiday

No, but the media might say it did.

It's a Tuesday afternoon ... the country is not going to shut down.

It's not like this Belgium game is Super Bowl Sunday.

Now ... IF the U.S. makes Final 4 ... perhaps.

If we make the quarter finals on Saturday it won't beat Superbowls, but I think it would beat everything else

It will have good numbers but it won't beat a Super Bowl. Saturday's number could be huge if the US advances.

I'm sure ESPN is dying for a primetime WC match involving the US.

No way, not a chance. Time slot prevents it. If we win and face Arg on Saturday? Solid chance

Tuesday afternoon.

Even if they make the final it's a long way to the top (super bowl).

If we beat Belgium today and Argentina/Switzerland on Saturday, Congress may have to declare a national holiday on 7/9 for the semifinal match. No one who loves freedom would be working during the match anyway, so the Feds should accept it as a lost day and embrace the hysteria.

Already been stated, but no chance just due to being during work hours on a Tuesday.

If they play Saturday? Oh boy. Could see some hella numbers there I'd imagine.
