You know you've made the right choice when China and the US are pulling away towards one OS while the other (iOS) keeps declining.

It really is sad that so many on here are so insecure about what kind of phone they have that they constantly troll and bash one OS. Meanwhile they feverishly google whatever glitch their device has.......privately.......in shame.

Well yeah, or girls, or technologically dumb people.

90% of them at least.

Somehow, your opinion just seems to matter a lot less when you admit to feeling good about a purchase because it's popular in China.

Apple's biggest problem is they've fallen behind in screen size. I expect the iPhone 6 to put them back on solid ground.

If you knew anything, you would know that this is typical of the yearly cycle. Apple releases new iPhone in the fall, market share percentage goes up, then in the spring when the iPhone is 6 months old, market share numbers start to slide until the fall comes. Rinse, repeat.

I think just based on Aesthetics alone, when Android L releases you will see the gap between Android and iOS grow even further.

and this is the year of desktop linux.

I don't have time for Android when I'm constantly tinkering with my open source microwave.

How do they define a smart phone? Anything running any version of Android? Or a true smart phone?

Screen size is likely part of it but IMHO, the larger thing is the essentially closed Apple system has stifled innovation to the point Android has passed them by and continues to pull away. Making a solid, reliable, product is not good enough to keep up when there's solid, reliable, alternatives that do more & do it better often, for less.

You mean the closed system that lets iOS have google apps, amazon apps, microsoft apps, hulu/netflix apps, spotify/pandora apps, etc., etc.? Everyone develops for iOS because of their marketshare. As long as they remain big enough to keep the cross platform development going, then trying to act like this is the desktop wars all over again and Android is the new Windows is stupid. There will be one platform in the mobile era, but that platform is the cloud/web, not Android/iOS/WindowsPhone/FireOS Android is going to keep gaining market share because it's a good product. Apple will maintain market share because it's a good product. And unlike the PC market, the phone prices are not out of whack for Apple products. There are free iPhones and $99 iPhones, if it were like the PC market the lowest priced iPhone would be $399.
