I picked up my boat today at lunch after they had it for 3 weeks. I am getting ready to go down to Grand Isle tonight to fish tomorrow...they left my battery switch turned on. Dead batteries.

F'n idiots.

Lucky you got it back so quick. I have neighbors that have spent big money with them to have them keep boats for months and months and months. They have all swore, never again.

That is pretty bad, hope you don't plan on going out too far with your newly "fixed" boat

Last time my batteries were this dead they wouldn't take a charge. I'm gonna be might pissed tomorrow morning if they don't charge tonight.

Especially since I am driving 2 hours tonight.

Why don't you address this with bent marine instead of trying to be a keyboard hardass?

Had my boat on the charger for 4 weeks. Show up to go offshore at 4 in the morning with 6 people and a ton of bait to find out someone had disconnected my trickle charge and left the battery switch on. Could have kicked a baby.

I know a guy who got pissed with mechanics working on his motors and charging him a bunch of dollars for crappy work. So he went and took a class at Delgado on basic outboard repair. If IRC, it was a two part class, outboard repair I and II.

At the time I had an old 5 hp motor that ran rough. He took it and worked on it and charged me $30- 40 for parts. It ran grdat after that and I gave him the motor a couple years later when I moved out of state.

Don't know if they still have that course or not but he learned enough to handlemost problems with his motor.

left my once. they put the plug in to run motor in the pit , forgot to take plug out, put boat outside it rained and when I got there the boat had water in it and the bilge pump had run the batteries down

ON THE UPSIDE they fought the boat surveyor and insurance to get the best repair on damage to my boat.

Didn't you just get a used boat? What was the issue?
