How do I get rid of Bahiagrass?

A few years ago the parish was digging out the ditches by the house and asked my wife if we wanted the dirt (I was at work). She told them yes since we had some low spots in the yard. Well, they dumped the dirt, cans, bottles, trash, bodies, and a shitload of bahia in the yard. It has now completely taken over.
Bahaia for those who don't know:
I know it's probably too late this year but what can I do for next year? This crap literally grows an inch a day and I'm cutting 1.5 acres once a week. TIA.

I've never heard of anything that targets bahia. Probably better to either seed or sod with something else and choke it out.

Metsulfuron methyl with surfactant

There is a herbicide called Ally that will kill it.
MSMA and roundup burn it down but it comes back.

I almost started this thread yesterday. That shite is rampant in my backyard.

I'm guessing the wife doesn't make yard decisions anymore

No experience with herbicides? Google is your friend

Best option just keep yard mowed no way to get rid of. IMO stopping illegal immigration would be easier.

Know where to find it?
I did a quick search and saw It may be called "Cimarron" now.
Metsulfuron methyl is the generic.
Try here,

@ Gauxtiga...
Not trying to argue with you but have been growing it for hay for 20 years. I have found no way to get rid of it permanently unless every neighbor within a mile radius kills it. Otherwise it will come back. If you can prove me wrong more power to you.
If you can't kill it best option is to cut it often and keep it from seeding.

Read that MSM is probably the best bet. You can get this stuff just about anywhere. I see it on Amazon and a few other places online.
Also read some stuff from Clemson's extension office LINK and another site LINK that suggested to use a product called Image that has Atrazine . You can get it from Amazon as well.
I'm thinking Atrazine is best during early stages but MSM is best once gotten out of control. Personally, I'm going to get some of this LINK and give it a shot. I'm interested to see what you go with and if you have any luck.

What is left behind once this stuff does its thing? Is it total kill? Does it kill everything but bermuda? etc.
ETA: I see, it does not kill centipede, bermuda, st. augustine or zoysia. But what about field turf. Am I going to have charred turf, or is this selective to bahia and broadleaf weeds?

I've only researched it but I'll let you know when I try it. It's advertised as being used on golf courses so I assume it is safe.
