Showing a "live" concert from hard rock in Vegas on axs tv uverse ch 1106, wow what a complete joke, amazing how far they have fallen. Some of the old bands have managed to keep it together and still sound pretty good, not GNR. I think axel is the only original member on stage and he looks like a complete bitch and is dancing around the stage like a girl. It like a car wreck, I don't want to look, but can't change the channel

I remember seeing them open for Motley Crue in B'ham back in late 87. Motley was on their Girls Girls Girls tour and GnR was just hitting the scene with Appetite for Destruction. That was a one hell of a show.

Yeah I knew GNR had broken up, they couldn't even put their differences aside to play together for their hall of fame induction ceremony a few years back. Axl sounds terrible

Why if you were a replacement guitarist inGNR, would you wear the ONE item of clothing that would compare you to slash (and make you look the lesser of the two)?

Actually they did. Only Axl and Dizzy didn't show up. Dizzy and Axl are the only band members from the 80s and 90s touring with the GNR name because Axl owns the rights to the name and forced the old members to sign it over to him by holding them hostage.
Dizzy isn't an original member anyway. Axl, Slash, and Duff were the only 3 original members left by the time they got to the Illusion CDs.

I am watching this now & it is bad. Really bad. Axl looks horrible & his voice is shot. If you get a chance read the book "WAR" which is an unauthorized biography of Axl Rose(William Bailey). It is fascinating.
If the original 5 members were to get back together & tour it would be one of the biggest selling tours of all time. They could name their price for tickets. Axl is still friends with Duff & Izzy. It is Slash & Steven Adler he doesn't like. It will never happen though thanks to Axl.

He recorded some of the songs but Slash played a lot of both guitar parts for a lot of the songs as well. Gilby Clarke was touring with them for the Illusion tour
