Putin's ego and desire to play "gotcha" on the international scene could come back & bite him in his KGB arse. Allowing another country to wet nurse Maliki and the Shia mafia is actually a gift. I have enough faith in the Jihadis to believe that they can make Putin turn tail and run too. Where are the French, British, and Germans? They are too smart to take a dip in this cesspool.

Different control locations, different flight characteristics no doubt it will take some time but it's not like the pilots they have are going to be completely lost in the cockpit. They will be getting sim software if they don't already have it, but I imagine the Russians will loan them some pilots for a short time if they feel like it's a good proposition for themselves.
