From the Georgia game to the Florida game we were polar opposites offensively. Once we beat Florida, it seems we stayed vanilla for the rest of the season.

Was it to eat clock to help out the defense? What gives? Thoughts?

What do you mean "conservative"? We looked like the same offense the whole year. Our Oline did get worse though

why when you are clearly trolling?

the stats for our passing yards and passing attempts the first 6 games vs the final 6 games is almost IDENTICAL.

I was watching some of RNolan's ( ) videos from last season, and the first few games looked completely different offensively all the way up to Florida.

Something switched the Florida week, and after that, to me at least, we only saw flashes of the offense from early in the season.

One thing worth note was the level of comptetion the 2nd half (SEC play)

We pretty much know both OBJ and Landry had some nagging injuries. I wonder if that was a factor. Maybe a save them till you need them mentality affecting the Staff. However, stats do NOT support this.

I did enjoy watching them break UF on the ground. I know it's old man football, but the UF players were dancing on the sideline and taunting the LSU fans even when a loss was almost a certainty. They quit dancing when Hill carried about 4 of them for 8 yards on a 3rd and 4.

Last I heard, Miles told Cam that a 'pass to setup the run' offense was scoring too many points and it was too effective with an accurate QB. So we ran the ball more in order the make the games more fair.

Georgia wasn't a shite team and we looked pretty diverse in terms of formations.

I like pounding the ball as much as the next guy. Just seems we make it so hard on ourselves when we narrow down our formations to run.

Most of it was that Beckham was having nagging injuries which limited Mett because he often forced it to Beckham too much. The defenses didn't get better IMO. It's not like Bama didn't get lit up before and after Mett played them. Mett still lit Bama up 16/23 69.6%, 241 yards 1 TD. It's why you should still focus on check downs and other options in case this happens.

Iowa and Ole Miss were really the only teams known for at least above average pass defense in the second half of the season.

Pretty sure as mentioned last year CLM was dead set on running down UF throat as they did us in 12 and game planned effectively as such. Throw in the hot conditions that day and was a rough game to attend if you wanted offense like the UGA game. That seemed to prevail for many the games after but as other poster said the stats bear out was still pretty even.
Look for this year at Swamp to be a repeat of last two years!

This. For some reason, people think we didnt pass the ball that much in the 2nd half and we became a run heavy offense. And that just is not true. At all. The pass attempts and rush attempts from the first 6 games to the final 6 are pretty much the exact same.
