A Chauvin resident could be the next Internet sensation following the release of three satirical music videos on YouTube.

Vinny Kreamer, 26, also known as Parrain Vin on YouTube, has often been dubbed “the Bayou Weird Al Yankovic.”

Kreamer said he has created comical videos with his brother, Kenny Kreamer, 25, for more than 15 years, but it wasn't until they began posting their videos to YouTube that they received notice from the community.

Vinny Kreamer stars in the videos, and Kenny Kreamer films and edits the footage. Each video also features family members, friends and neighbors.

“Sportsman's Paradise,” which the brothers posted on YouTube less than a year ago, was filmed in various locations around Montegut and has received almost 20,000 views.

“During the first three days, we had an inkling that something happened,” Kenny Kreamer said. “We would check it every hour. We were originally hoping for 1,000 views, and then in a few days, it jumped to 16 or 17,000.”

The song, which is an adaptation of Coolio's 1995 song “Gangsta's Paradise,” describes the lifestyle of a local from Vinny Kreamer's perspective.
