That fleur de lis tiger eye thing is bad enough when it adorns the back of an F-150. It ought not be anywhere NEAR LSU's actual uniform.

Look...I'm a big proponent of LSU adding more options to the uniform closet. But...there's a way to do that AND keep the traditional look we have had, at least mostly, for a long time. The trick is staying with the same template...jersey with three stripes, helmet with same logo and three stripes, pants with the three stripes (I know it's now more than that if you look closely.)

With that template, you can have a white helmet with the same striping as the traditional jersey, the traditional jersey, and white pants to match.

You can wear the gold helmet on top of that white over white.

You can wear the gold lid over a gold jersey to match the helmet stripes over the white pants with traditional stripes.

Point is, you can essentially do this for all three colors and be able to mix and match them pretty easily and give LSU a few more options and the guys more to wear than JUST gold/white/gold and ALSO not look like Nike or Addidas just threw up all over our players. I've always thought Florida has done a really solid job of working all three of their colors (blue, orange, white) into their uniforms so that they have lots of options but they always look like Florida.

I always want LSU to look like LSU...but that doesn't mean they can;t wear something othe than gold/white/gold or gold/purple/gold.
