So Miami has a custom facemask...

..which their not using in-game. Still, it's only a matter of time before some team does.
How would you feel about an LSU version?
Say with "LSU" in gold across the purple facemask? Would be nice for one of those games where the team uses a special uniform...

Absolutely not. I'm all about having a different uniform once a year, but the facemask concept would be awful no matter how you slice it

I like that facemask alright, and I think it would be pretty cool for a game if they would just add a vertical bar down the middle to cover up the gap.
But I guess you would have to get creative with the different type of facemasks, or just make everyone wear the same kind, which probably wouldn't work.

Not sold on it, but I think for us the best way to go would be to have shoulder stripe pattern ...full, not half of course

OK? What's that have to do with LSU? Georgia has worn black jerseys before. You won't see LSU doing that either.

Point is, UGA's uniform was a one off. LSU has worn may different one off uniforms over the years. Black jerseys for UGA = gold jerseys for LSU.
This was never about anything other than a one off uniform change. I'm as traditional as they come where LSU's uniform is concerned.

Miami is probably the only school that can pull this off because of the letter U.
