I think its the allure of the permanent frick up that keeps me coming back to the show every season, that and the artwork is intriguing.

Same here.

I loathe reality shows unless they demonstrate some kind of talent (Kitchen Nightmares, Project Runway, etc.).

Most of the tattoo artists I've seen featured so far do amazing art. But it's equally fun to watch some of these people melt and screw up in an unforgiving medium.

I unapologetically dig Ink Master. The contestants are annoyingly catty, but most of the art they do is cool stuff.

I'm a huge fan of Ink Master and have zero ink. A lot of the artist's have such big personalities and the art really is fantastic (or majorly messed up and the human canvas has to Live with it or DWI).

Neither do I. Watching the show, I kind of want some and don't. Some of the human canvases on the show seem so nonchalant about what they throw on their bodies (Star Wars tattoos? Really?). I don't know that I could commit to any one thing that would have meaning throughout my entire life. My wife, who watches the show with me has two, which she wishes she no longer had. My favorites tend to be the half sleeves, though.

I also like watching the various pain thresholds on the show. Some of the toughguys who come have the most difficult time, and some of the most slight girls (and priest!) just bear it like champs.

It is one of my favorite shows along with Tattoo Nightmares. I just finished watching the 1st season again on Netflix. Season 2 is by far the worst b/c it has the most "drama reality" feel.

That's good to hear. The moment the contestants started being introduced in season two by declaring, "I'm not here to make friends," I started to cringe.

Hmmm... sounds like a good one. I'll have to check it out.

It has Tommy from the first season with two others doing cover-ups of bad tattoos. They show a brief story on how the person got the tattoo (kinda cheesy, but amusing) then show the final outcome.
