.....goes against the 2-3/day that modern medicine has proven to aid longevity. 21/week and you'll live longer, but you're also an alcoholic. And, 5+ drinks at a sitting makes you a bing drinker?

No way any of these sources are from south LA.....

In grad school, I used to rage 5 days a week.

Now, I maybe drink 3/4 times a month.

Still not seeing any savings from that change, so maybe I'll just go back.

3 drinks every day of the week is a little too much

Drunkenness past the age of thirty or on into parenthood is a sign of deeply ingrained trashiness, or Catholicism.

I've drank 3 times this year and probably no more than a total of 15 drinks

Damn. Unbeknownst to me, it would appear my parents are now trashy and have converted to Catholicism.

maybe for some, not for others......mayo clinic does say 2 for men. Now, what about body weight and such?

Say a 175# man drinks a couple of beers and another 250# man has three. I would contend it's close to a wash.

I suggest keeping clear of south LA if you don't live there already. And, steer clear of fishing/hunting camps.

Did you see the story of Harry Cary? When he died I guess they found records of him charging hundreds of dollars a night in liquor and food. He literally did not miss a night for a couple of years. He partied hard, had to leave St Louis because he was having a fling with the owners wife. Back then all of his expenses were deductible as he was out promoting the team and broadcast. Like a boss.

ETA: I exaggerated, it was only 288 days in a row.

As long as I show up for work, take care of my family and don't drive drunk. I drink as much as I want, frick the police.

And I don't change my oil every 3000 miles and my car is just fine!

Finishing off a 6 pack of 16 oz Natties that I started on at 2:30!

I drink either beer or wine every night. About the only night i don't drink is Monday for some reason. I like to come home from work and have a few to unwind. I am probably considered an alcoholic by those standards but so is everyone I know.

I wish the definition of 40 yards changed as much as the definition for alcoholism. I could run 4.5 forty instead of increasingly becoming more of an alcoholic.

I get tipsy about 4-5 nights a week. I get trashed about once every month. I have no idea what this makes me.
