Help Buying New Kayak

My family has a 12' Ascend Sport that isn't bad. We got it a few years ago from Academy for like $400. I'm ready to upgrade to something a little nicer. I like the seats that get you up a little higher and I want it to be 12-14ft long. My price range is around $700. Which ones should I look at?

You may be able to find a decent used one around that price (Jackson, KC, etc...). If you absolutely can't spend any more than that, and can't find any used, The Ascend FS128T is a good option. The Perception Pescador 12 at Academy is only $500 brand new, but you won't be able to sit high or stand in that one. I would seriously demo a whole bunch of them to try and find what you like.

If not used, ascend is the only answer. Very stable and tons of deck storage. Great bang for your buck.

It seems to be funny that he is the only one who is hell bent on paddle boards here.
They are too much work and effort to fish out of compared to a kayak.
I know Gaston that you have a great paddle board that you hang in your living room and all but most here don't give a flying frick about them.

So, it wasn't the ascend the family has it's a perception sport. It's great and I was thinking about buying another but I want one more specific for fishing. Anyone have pictures of there ascend? I may go buy bass pro and check them out tomorrow.
