ESPN Fantasy Football - League Manager Question

We have a work league that that's been running for a few of years, but League creator recently left for another job. I had him give me LM power so we could keep same league setup and I'll be commish. However, it won't let me delete his team from the owner list. I'm assuming that this is because he is the "creator" of the league. Does anyone know of any way around this? Was hoping to avoid starting a new league and losing past season's info.

Tell him to delete himself from the league and re-join? Maybe that will work.

It won't let him delete himself... that's the first thing we tried once he gave me LM power. Looks like we are just going to have to start a new league.

For those interested..... I contacted ESPN directly and transfer of the League Creator can be done but they have to do it on their end. Pretty easy process of sending an email to ESPN Customer Service with current creator's info and successor's info and they will make the change.

Kind of impressed they have the customer relations in place to even do this, but then again it is part of a corporate behemoth.
I hope that someone's lone job is to replace fantasy football league managers.

I was very impressed with the response time... I sent the email at 10:24am and received a response at 10:31am explaining what I needed to provide them in order for them to transfer the league creator to another member.
