I figured I'd offer our Cubs fans some hope.

In 2011 during the NLCS/ALCS I had a dream that the Rangers lost a heartbreaking Game 6, but in 10 innings, not 11, to the Brewers

I was somewhat close

That's typically how most dreams end.

To the point though, if we want to have a discussion on it, I don't think the cubs are that far way from consistently being a post season team. Now what happens when you get there, I have no idea. Wasn't too long ago cubs had the best record in MLB heading into the post season and got swept out in the first round so it's really just a crap shoot once you get into the playoffs.

White Sox will win again before the Cubs. Too much money in losing.

quite possible

lets just disagree here. Because, and I could be taking your implication wrong, but it seems to be saying that the cubs will make no efforts to better the team because they can make lots of money losing, and to that I disagree. Sure they can make money losing, but they can make more winning, also that would indicate that they'd just pocket all the money from the impending tv deal along with other (hopefully...c'mon landmarks commission) revenue streams.

based off of what?

History? Then why would 2036, 2065, or 3000 be any different?

Or can we chalk you up as one who thinks the rebuild isn't working?

Now that we have this guy mentoring all of our young studs, the Cubs should be in great shape very soon.
