Dude was supposed to be a soccer prodigy... the American Pele'... what ever became of him? I don't follow the sport as much as I would like to.

There was like a 2 month window in 2011 when Adu was a productive USMNT player at the senior level. Otherwise, he was all hype and no output.
As a club player he bounced around. As an international player, he simply didn't produce consistently.
