I wonder what would be going if we played Belgium in the closed friendly

no it was Belgium. I kinda wonder who it would have benefited had we actually played

That was the announced reason. I think it would have helped Belgium. Right now, I'm not sure how acutely they understand our players. Their stars are worldwide names. Someone like Zusi, Besler, or Beckerman could easily be under their radar.
