LIberals/Progressives hate America and want to see it fundamentally transformed. They admired Soviet Russia though, and always wondered why America could not be more like that.
They hate freedom (except when it comes to sex) and they want to force equal outcomes for everyone. Because "America" has not agreed with that perspective over the years, they hate the country and want it changed for everyone.
They make good points about racial injustice in our history though, and they use that as the wedge to go after everything else.
