People have been comparing Embiid to Hakeem.
The most popular comparison for Davis at the time was Camby.
So yeah, you could make an argument that Embiid was the better prospect coming out of college.

The OP said he was being "hyped" as such. That is patently untrue. There was debate where he would land in the draft. God this board is a waste of time sometimes.
