A guy that everyone seems to drool over coming out of the draft?

and once they are in the NBA they are guys no one wants to touch, or no one can win with?

Im thinking Rudy Gay
OJ Mayo
Michael Beasely
James Harden
Harrison Barnes
Carmelo Anthony

etc etc

Does he have any other discernible skills that will make him any more than that?

Just kind of a big athletic 3 that can score, but not do much else.

He can block shots and rebound too, but I did get some Austin Rivers flashbacks throughout the season watching him on offense.

Some people call him the next LeBron. Would obviously have to wait and see.

yea. I mean maybe Carmelo doesn't belong, but he's never really won anything. He can't carry a team like say, Lebron or even Durant, who are more efficient, well rounded players.

more about Barnes' perception coming out of college. Same with OJ Mayo.

Jabari is a pretty good passer and is certainly more willing to do that than most of the guys on that list.

I could see that. He'd fit in this list if he were still playing. They did have a nice team one year in MIL with Ray Allen and Cassell

So what is he? A future super star who makes his team better? or just another guy that scores at an average clip?

That's not what I'm talking about... it's that you listed those guys as "volume scorers".

Do you even know what a volume scorer is?

well, they've became worthless, in Beasley's case, and just a role player in Mayo's case, because they are so one dimensional.

Mayo averaged 17 and 18 PPG his first 2 years in hte NBA.

Beasley is certainly capable of averaging 20ppg like he did in Minn one year. But no one wants to play him.

The names on the list are supposed to be linked to their perception coming out of college(high stock guys) to what they have become in the NBA. Is that really that hard to connect?

Michael Beasley, OJ Mayo, and Harrison Barnes should answer that question.

I wouldn't consider Harrison Barnes a volume scorer.
