Where to skydive in south LA?

Need a good recommendation for a skydiving outfitter within reasonable driving distance.

I know it's not Louisiana, but they do it in Lumberton, MS. Not that far North of Pearl River

There's a place in Slidell I know of. But if something were to go wrong, I'd hate that it would say I died in Slidell.

I see skydivenawlins which looks pretty good. You can see Lake P and the New Orleans skyline and stuff. Gold Coast does look legit though.

I think SkydiveNawlins is out of Slidell. There website looks ancient.

I have had friends go through Gold Coast without any issues. I'm sure Skydivenawlins is good too, but in my attempts to go there, our jumps got postponed 3 different times due to weather or other reasons.

I can tell you where not to go sky diving in north Viet Nam.

Yup....
My Dad was shot down and rescued in ;March 1966....
for years he told everyone he went down in North Vietnam. Years later, the rescue records were declassified, so I looked his report. Found out that he had gone down in Laos....
I called him and said, "why didn't tell me you were shot down and rescued in Laos? He would not confess until I gave him the Lat and Long from the rescue report. They were told to never discuss the fact that half the "trail" was in Laos, and we were there in force....

I have jumped twice at Skydive N'awlins. Awesome experience! Hippie is a great guy to tandem with. Have a great time, you're gonna love it!

I've worked with a number of former VN POWs, an awesome bunch of men. One common trait among them, they do not get hung up over trivial shite. They are pretty heroic to me.

is Levahn(sp?)...short heavy set guy... still affiliated with them?
