Glad BJ finally has solidified himself as a legit leadoff threat.

Good for him.

Just got home from watching the world cup, going to settle in to the Braves on MLB network and probably a nap, what a great day!

Braves have to fire Greg Walker imo. As a team, we take just a horrendous approach at the plate.

BJ, Simmons and CJ are almost unwatchable ABs for me.

Watch the Astros for a week and the Braves won't bother you as much.

We've got the #1, #4 and #6 batters with the most strikeouts in the AL. shite Springer doesn't even have an approach at the plate. Its swing as hard as you can and hope you hit something.

I don't care about strikeouts. It's our unwillingness to walk that really bothers me. There is no excuse for it.

BJ 8.7% bb rate
simmons 4.9% bb rate
johnson 2.3% bb rate

springer 10.5% rate

astros 8.7% as a team, braves 7.4%

edit: had teams backwards

I'm more upset with how much Minor sucks.

With how many starting pitchers we've had go down, we can't afford to have our supposed 2nd best starter pitch like dog shite.

Houston actually has a better team OBP, SLG, and OPS than Atlanta. The Braves are 27th in baseball in OBP.

Averages for NL teams:
OBP: .312
SLG: .386
OPS: .698

Braves:
OBP: .302
SLG: .377
OPS: .679

Too much talent on this team (at least among the starting eight position players) for this to be acceptable.

shite thats pretty surprising. Our guys hit a lot of homeruns but thats really all we do well. You've swayed me, given the guys in ya'lls lineup thats damn near unacceptable performance.
