Washington Times

The case was dropped against the coroner because he resigned.

Still ongoing against the county.

The organization, the state's federally designated organ and tissue recovery program, filed a complaint in March in Saginaw County Circuit Court against Virani and Saginaw County after the organization was unable to procure organs from 6-year-old Elijah Dillard.

Prosecutors have charged Aki C. Dillard, the husband of Elijah's mother, with first-degree premeditated murder or, in the alternative, first-degree felony murder as well as torture and first-degree child abuse. Elijah's mother, Mio Campbell, faces the child abuse charge.

I do believe it happens all the time and in fact has saved the lives of thousands of very sick children for years.

Yes. Youngest I have seen donate firsthand was 3. I think LOPA in Louisiana will take them as young as 1 year, but I haven't seen it happen.
