What disadvantages would I have switching from verizon to Tmobile?

Seems like verizon is trying to kill everything about the internet. So I am about fed up supporting them even tho I still have unlimited data through them. I really have never had a complaint with service or the awesome internet speeds I have, just recent comments from the CEO have raised red flags.

Biggest hurdle is that you'll have to replace your phone. Verizon and T-Mobile use different technologies so the phones aren't compatible.

Coverage. It's what is holding me back from getting Tmobile.

I've had T-Mobile for a number of years and haven't had any problems in metro areas or along the interstates but if coverage is your most important consideration, ATT or Verizon are probably your best bets.

Damnit, I'm live in Hammond and work in br so I'm not very far from interstates or major areas. But I've literally never had a problem Ruth service on Verizon, not even at lsu games which sucks that the ceo is a douche

Straight talk: unlimited data texts and calls for $45 a month.

Don't just buy any phone though. An example being:
iPhone 4s and 5 run on verizon towers
iPhone 5c and 5s run on AT&T

That's if you buy directly from them though. If you BYOP, just make sure it's compatible with the towers you want.

And ST supports 4G LTE now. I'm hoping to recieve my SIM card today and should have more info on how well it works.

I may be off on a model or two, but this is what I was reading. Through them, different models are attached to different towers.

just swap your phone on craigslist. simple.

people move between verizen & att/tmo & sprint all the time and you can generally swap for the identical phone.

as for what the other posters say, yes coverage is tmobile's achilles' heel.

everything else they do rocks including customer service and features & value.

This is not true. Not even close to being true.

I could be wrong, but everything I read the past few weeks stated the i5 was CDMA while the i5s and 5c were GSM only through ST.
