Iraq hurts Obama, but Cheney and the neocon dead enders are not doing the GOP any favors by reminding everybody how we got there in the first place. The only winning political strategy re Iraq is a promise to not get us involved in any more of these quagmires.

We're all tired of that nightmare...nearly 4 trillion spent

We tried to win war it with these people hiding behind woman and children...they played right into our way of doing things, which is we don't kill innocent woman and children.

If we would have done what they would have done with our nukes, there wouldn't be a middle east left

Cheney and the neocon GOP establishment really need to shut the frick up on this issue. This PR offensive of theirs may really be aimed at Rand Paul types in their party and weakening them ahead of primary season but it's going to hurt themselves also as its an issue that's a repudiation against the GOP as a whole since it reminds everybody how we got into it and who got us into it in the first place.

I guess Cheney is trying to save his legacy while hurting the Dems at the same time. It's not working.

The only people better off after our Iraq war have been the Kurds.

I just hope the neocon faction is done. That crew has wreaked enough havoc over the past decade.

It's not going to hurt the dems one bit when he's one of the people who started it all. People don't care what a hypocrite says.

Cheney doesn't give a shite about his legacy. It's all about fricking Rand over and if that means he it hurts the GOP in doing so, so be it. He'd rather have neocon Hilary over peaceful Rand.

You may have a point.

I know this is off topic but I wish we could use this incident in Iraq to normalize relations with Iran. Huge potential for US firms to do work in Iran if sanctions are removed.

AIPAC will be there to deliver a swift kick in the junk to any politician who suggests this. (And a bag full of money to their primary opponent.)

That's what happens when you have the media brainwashing the public for seven straight years untl the idiot Obama got elected.

The Idiot gave up all the hard earned gains, to keep a stupid election promise, which he had failed to keep up until his second election.

We should have subjugated everyone of those crazy people who are bombing and killing people and those who are harboring them.

The dumb azz pussy way out is to go soft on them and allow these fools to have a calphate state from which to operate.

When they attack us ten years from now with a nuke in a large American city all you jackleg sissies raise your hand and claim your dunce bag.

These radicals will die for their brliefs.

Their beliefs are that all non muslims are infidels that must be killed.

Their beliefs are that all christians & Jews are infidels and they will not stop until all the infidels are conquered

A bunch of Chamberlains here, with your heads stuck up your azz.

You can call Cheney a bunch of things, but "hypocrite" ain't one of them. Whether you think he is right or wrong, his rhetoric, policies and actions have always jibed and have been consistent.

This is a Sunni power play. Not to say we wouldn't have issues from these guys, but as long as Syria is in civil war we don't have much to worry about.

I'm not gonna lie. When we first invaded Iraq in 2003, it was tits awesome. Watching Baghdad explode on live TV was very entertaining. I was glued to the TV eating popcorn a lot of those nights.

I missed all that because I was busy invading Iraq.

I did enjoy the Gulf War though.
