This race could quite literally be the deciding factor in whether or not the GOP takes back the Senate (along with Mary's fate to the west of the landmass between Alabama and Louisiana).

There has been a lot of talk on here about McDaniel supporters voting for the Democrat Childers.

With that being the case, who wins this race in November?

Tea party supporters won't vote for a democrat, but they may not turn out to vote. Thad wins in a close one 53 percent to 47 percent

If the TP is so mad that McDaniel lost that they will vote for Childers, then they have no place in the political arena.

Stay at home, write your boy in, whatever, but if you take a "If my guy can't be a part of it then we'll let Harry Reid take this country deeper into the hole, then frick you.

Yep. I have a feeling that most will reach this conclusion by election day. I think we are hearing from a vocal minority.

But Democrats, who were so mad at the Tea Party, had every right to express their anger at the poll and vote for a candidate from another party, right?

Nothing but class from Thad supporters.

I think Cochran wins by 5-8% as well.

If the GOP takes back the Senate, and if it is by one seat with Cochran retaining his, I expect the McDaniel supporters to be PISSED...amIright?

I would not be shocked to see Cochran lose.

What would be truly fitting is if the GOP takes the Senate, but Cochran loses. All that seniority gone.

I would for weeks.

No because the governemnt and bureaucracy will expand regardless.

Unless the government shrinks in size and scope we are doomed for destruction anyway, infact I'd rather it happen sooner rather than later so we can rebuild the country sooner as well.

We are headed off the cliff on our current trajectory so if we won't remove the problem than we might as well hope the crash happens ASAP.

Which is exactly what some will do. The tea party is a fricking joke.

Totally agree.

And Chris McDaniel would not have done a thing to prevent the eventual demise of this country.

I think that is what the pro-McDaniel crowd doesn't get. He was a marginal candidate at best that would have made zero difference.

Cochran wins comfortably. The TP types are upset now but will fall back in line because a Republican is still better than a Democrat.

You're on a sinking ship, which is the least desirable?

a) a person who actively bails the water coming in
b) a person who talks about bailing, but does nothing
c) a person who talks about bailing, but actually punches additional holes in the boat, allowing more water in?

He's a male Sarah Palin that was all talk. He funneled state money to his hometown every chance he got.

There are a dozen people in state government I would have voted for over Cochran. McDaniel wasn't one of them. This guy did one thing in six years as a state senate that was popular and commendable and he rode the coattails and thought it would carry him to Washington.

Thank goodness the majority of people voting saw this. Want to see what McDaniel has done? A good "Don't pass a stopped school bus law" and a few specialty car tags that go on back of cars that drive on roads that Cochran built.

Tell me your personal dealing with Mr. McDaniel and why you have so much faith in him.
