Going to lunch in New Orleans with some friends who don't eat seafood. Where would you recommend? Staying in French quarter.

If you're willing to venture a little outside of the french quarter just go to butcher.
If not, Mr. B's has plenty of non seafood items.

Probably yankees. I knew a chick from Iowa who posted pics on fb from her family trip to Florida. The last pic in the album was the whole family dressed up for their final night blowout dinner............. At Red Lobster

None of the restaurants are exclusively seafood, particularly the old standbys like Galatoire's and Antoine's. Antoine's even has a lunch special, three courses for $20.14 plus twenty-five cent cocktails.

Is Nola (Emeril's restaurant) still relevant? I remember going twice and loving it, but that was like 4 years ago and I haven't seen it mentioned here since back then.

Like going to Napa on vacation and getting some Almaden wine in a box. Who does that?
That's pretty bad, but still not quite as bad as someone who lives on the coast and should know better going to RL in lieu of somewhere that serves fresh locally caught seafood.

NOLA is very much alive and kicking and a solid restaurant. Would highly recommend it.

Food is generally pretty good.. their portions are a joke though for the money.. although that ain't a big deal for lunch..
