LSU v Wisky Tailgate hosted by Houston Alumni Chapter

After sitting through the 105 degree heat last year at the Dallas tailgate, pretty excited this one will be indoors at the NRG Center. Kinda bummed out about the 3:30 start time though.

LSU has a reputation of taking tailgating to the next level. Houston has the reputation of being hot… real hot, especially in August. Why worry about the hassle of setting up a tailgate (which, by the way, cannot occur until four hours prior to kickoff), standing in the heat, using porta potties, and disassembling your setup? Forget all that and join the LSU Houston Alumni Association at NRG Center for one of the biggest tailgates ever thrown. Come enjoy BBQ, tacos, jambalaya, beer gardens, liquor, wine, live music, and air conditioning! We’ll top it off with surprise guests and special appearances.

Link to Dallas one?
I am talking about the previous kickoff game tailgates for the games against TCU and Oregon.

So after looking at the info on the tailgate the $50 gets you entrance and meal ticket and that's it? Seems high for that price. I mean they don't even include 1 or 2 drink tickets. It is however real convenient since it is on the Stadium property and inside Reliant Center so it has that going for it .

That's about it. The Wisconsin tailgate includes beer and food for $60 although it doesn't start until 5.

BTW knowing Reliant Center and the whole stadium complex as I do I can almost assure you no outside beverages will be allowed in the Reliant Center. That means no bringing in a 12 pack to the tailgate with you.

Pocket shots would be my friend

Hopefully we might have someone on here from the Houston Alumni Association that can clear any questions we might have.

here's another question:
how strict will they be on the 4-hour prior to kickoff rule for tailgaters?
i didn't tailgate in the parking lot for dallas last year. we were in another parking lot on the outskirts with no issues.

That's quite the cover for a single food ticket.
It is. I didn't read the info clearly enough. If this is the case, I might pass on the deal all together.
