I rarely see her (my girlfriend) shine like she did when the range officer handed her back her very own target, she was glowing the whole way home. Against better advice, I let her shoot my Shield 9mm first, but she handled it well, even saying, "Who says every girl should start out with just a 22?!" on the car ride home!

She shot very well for a first time shooter, especially after the first shot jitters were out of the way (magazine of three, then a full 7).

anyway, just thought I'd share our excitement, she can't keep quiet about wanting to go again...

Mrs. Couyon and I were both paid a compliment when we qualified at the range for our concealed carry permit. We shot with our Kel-Tecs, which are NOT fun to shoot then we finished with my S&W A-22.
He told us we were way over-qualified compared to most other applicants.
Funny thing was we had only been shooting once in the month before qualifying.

I shot with a Buckmark .22 when I got my CC. The holes in my target could have been covered with a coffee cup. I know it was cheating but the looks the other people in that were in the class were pretty funny. They were all proud of their's and then looked at mine, the look of dejection was awesome.

i think it's great when the GF's and wives get out and shoot. I taught my wife about 5 years ago and she immediately had to have her own pistol.

Now i just need to buy her a .22 so each trip won't cost $20+.
