If we traded up to the number 5 or 6 spots who would you take?

IMO I would take Julius Randle, dude has a ton of potential and would be fun to watch with AD.

Can't do that unless you think AD can play 5 all season

He played the 3 a good bit, and could play the 3 in the NBA

I do like vonleh to answer your question

Randle also would HAVE to change his game in the NBA.

Only if we could somehow land Barnes and a pick to draft Vonleh while getting rid of future draft picks, ryno, and EG somehow.

This won't be popular. Give me Smart and prepare for the post-EG era. Embiid's intriguing if he's there. I just have a really bad feeling there with how long his NBA career will last.

I'm pretty sure this team needs either a guard or a wing.

Randle cannot play the 3 at all.

I'm assuming you think Wiggins, Parker, Exum and Embiid are gone. I'm also assuming Saric can't be drafted because of his new contract.

If that's the case, I would probably have to look at:

Marcus Smart
Doug McDermott
Nik Stauskas
Rodney Hood
Noah Vonleh
Julius Randle
Gary Harris
Aaron Gordon

In that kind of order.

Aaron Gordon all day. If not him then Rodney hood. Lmao at the dude who thinks Randle can play the 3. What sport and player are you watching. That shite is comical

I would say Aaron Gordon, but he kinda reminds me of Aminu. He just has no skill in his game. If we somehow could get into the top 5 I'd hope that the Magic would pass up Embiid and we'd take him, broken foot and all.

But I really think if the Pel's trade up into the top 5 it's because they want to make another trade for a proven player. Probably Greg Monroe.

That top 5 wouldn't be for monroe

It'd be for a shot at love

Ya no way do we give a top 5 for Monroe. Demps would be ran out of Nola with pitchforks and torches. I also think Aaron Gordon has a ceiling high enough to be taught control and the offensive part of the game. I'm thinking Blake Griffin all the way.

I don't like Love with the way the roster currently built. Neither he or AD are capable of playing the 5 for different reasons but Monroe can. He isn't a typical 5 but I think AD could hide some of his weaknesses. And even if we got Love, there's no way he wouldn't opt out the first chance he gets. Trading for Love would be stupid.

Nobody wants to come to New Orleans.

But seriously though if I was a free agent, bias aside,I would legitimately wanna come to New Orleans for some reason...I mean that's a nice core with Holiday,Evans, and Davis...With Ryno.

I would take Wiggins, Embiid or Parker over Monroe. And I really think we could get a better player than Monroe for a top 5 pick this year.

All that being said, I wouldn't mind having Monroe on this team at all.

I would love Embiid and I think he'll be available at 5, but it would all depend on what the front office wants to take the unproven but supremely talented potential superstar or the solid young veteran 4/5 who compliments our current superstar well.

I just realised how crazy all this is. We're talking about hypothetical trades for a hypothetical trade. This is some Inception shite.
