No apparent leakage/pooling water anywhere else. Only dripping through the fixture. No wetness around the fixture. Any ideas on wtf is happening? I already shut the water and power off. Then the leak stopped.

Water leak in your roof probably. Water coming from somewhere and water trickling to the light.

I had a similar issue and it was a vent pipe slowly dripping water down on the fixture.

Did they frick your ceiling all up to fix it? That's my concern.

Is there a second story to your house? If so, where is the bathroom in relation to the light fixture? If single story house, do you have an attic? Need more info

Roof leaking? But any water in ceiling will find the path of least resistance to the light fixture. And any leak will result in water dripping from light fixture for a few hours until it either all leaks out or is absorbed by insulation.

You can cut the power back on. It's not what's leaking.

That was probably a good idea.

I'm guessing that it stopped when you turned the water off.

Is your hot water heater in the attic?

I live in a duplex. We have the two lower levels. The lowest level is where the leak is . It is under our kitchen but no leakage under sink or anything.

Nope. Same floor as the leak.

Funny u should say that. Same thing happened here from an air condition vent 15 min ago. No water sources anywhere near. Only about 10 drops. I attributed it to condensation.

Ah, only dripping. If it gets to the point of doing this... then you have a real problem.

Happened in my rental, turned out to be a leaky sink in the bathroom above the kitchen. Of course tenant didn't report it until it got bad and costly to fix.

Check around the bottom of your toilets for leakage. As another poster said, the air conditioner air handler (in a closet or attic) has a drip pan that may have a stopped drain.

Very possible, as this exact same thing happened to a friend recently when her upstairs air conditioner unit was frozen over and started to thaw. Ended up being low on freon, and there was no drain pan under the unit so the water went down into the fixture.

This almost filled up the shallow glass cover over the bulbs. Leaked steadily until I shut the water off.
