How did you fellas do this weekend? Fished out of Dularge all weekend, ended up w/ 25 reds Friday and 49 specks on Sat.

Good bass being caught on D'arbonne at night near lit boathouses and the 33 bridge. At first light, the bite stops.

Caught about 10 keeper fish in 3 trips to spillway. Water just isnt right.

Went offshore, smoked the tuna on an overnight trip, then got into the mangroves the following day on a day trip and caught a nice cobia.

Fished Saturday Grand Isle. Few trout and cats live skrimps under cork. Not much.

Fished out of campos. 76 trout. Numerous sharks and bull reds and several small marsh bass.

4 man limit of trout out of Cocodrie on Friday. Finally starting to see the fish act the way they're supposed to this time of year.

Leeville Friday: caught about 40 specks w/ three in the boat
Leeville Saturday: took the kayak out and caught four nice reds and a flounder.

I bet you chased that fifth for a long while. Nothing more frustrating than catching 4 quick and then fishing your arse off for hours looking for that limit.

went fresh water for perch , after we got a nice haul of blue gill , I started throwing a black and chartreuse beetle spin and ended up catching over 50 bass .... all were around 1 lb , it was two of us and we kept 12 ..... fished out of Westwego , gulf canal .....
going down to port sulfur next weekend for some salt water .....
hopefully we will wear the specs out ....

Haha, no doubt. Caught two rat reds mixed with those that kept me motivated. Fun nevertheless.

I had a tough weekend. Took my entire immediate family to Cocodrie... mom, dad, wife, daughter, sister. Of those, only my dad is an occasional fisher and he's 77.
For various reasons, the fishing part of the trip was poor...
