Why are these announcers complaining about no goals being scored?

They keep saying this game has been very boring because no goals have been scored. Keep talking about Ger v Gha being very exciting because there were goals.

Isn't that a big no-no for people that know and like soccer?

Germany Ghana was also fast paced with lots of openings and good play.

Thus far this game has been ok, but nothing really noteworthy. But Russia, especially under Fabio, will play very disciplined and structured. Its not the most attractive soccer, but it can be effective if played well.

Some games are boring, some games are not. Same for any sport.

Troll elsewhere.

Sometimes a match needs a goal before the teams will open it up.

Compare this game (before the late goal) to Brazil vs Mexico. One was head and shoulders above the other.

There is probably a producer in their ear telling them to pander to the average US viewer.

I don't get it bc the world cup has been full of goals so far... it's like subconsciously they know they're playing in Brazil, so it would be a disgrace to park the buses in front of goal...

also there aren't teams like North Korea, who parked their bus but yet weren't good enough to score on their own

If I had to bet on any score line for the South Korea/Algeria game, I would have bet 0-0. Sometimes you just never know what kind of game you'll get.

Why do people on TD refer to commentators as announcers? Its nearly universal on this site.
