I bought tickets to see Frankie Valli at the Saenger Theatre on August 6th in New Orleans.

Anybody have experience with this venue? I'm on the balcony, row O, and was wondering if there's not a bad seat in the house and how the acoustics are.

Saw a few concerts there pre-Katrina. My fave was Beastie Boys/Fishbone/Murphy's Law back in like '88.

That theater is a beast.

Saw Keane there pre-Katrina. Have not been back since, but back then it was a great place to take in show. Sound was great, seating was great wherever you were.

I'm not to fond of the seats in the back rows. The theater slopes back gently, which puts one a bit far back.

For my personal taste, row O might be borderline.

I've heard Valli does a great show, even at his age.

I saw Zappa and I saw Dylan at the Saenger.

Saw REM there circa 1885. Cool venue. I just kept staring up.

I appreciate the input, guys.

I'm coming from Houston with a buddy and those were the best available. I love The Four Seasons and the movie reminded me that he was still touring.

At 79 I don't know how much longer he'll be going.

Saw government mule there around 05. Was a great show. Saenger is a perfect spot for Frankie Valli too.
