Houston FBDers/Craft beer people - a couple questions

I'm going to be going over to Houston area (Woodlands) Mon-Thur this week. I'm passing through Houston proper on the way in, and leaving from Cleveland, TX on Thur.
1. What beers do I need to get that are not available in LA? On my list currently is Union Jack, Wookey Jack, and Blakkr (if thats available in TX?)
2. What place in Houston is best to get these that is not terribly out of the way travelling from BR to Woodlands?
3. As I mentioned, I'll be travelling back from Cleveland so not going through Houston, but prob Beaumont. Can I get these beers in Beaumont? Can I get them in the Woodlands? If not I'll prob be getting them on Mon and putting them in my hotel for a couple days, which is weird but one must do what one must do.

Spec's on smith street in Houston ... I'm sure there's others places that houston people can chime in on

I've made that Cleveland-to-Beaumont run on TX 105 many times.
My sympathy.
FYI you'll pass right by the "last chance" Spec's in Beaumont on US69. Nothing beats the sensory experience of Specs # 1 on Smith Street (downtown HOU), but if you get busy and just want to see a Spec's, Beaumont will do in a pinch.

The Beaumont specs doesn't compare to the Smith Street location in Houston, but you can still find some worthy stuff there.
I'd add Double Jack to your list. Also maybe Ska Modus Hoperandi.

I don't venture up north very often, but I would think you could get those three at HEB. Maybe a Woodlands resident can chime in on that.
Either way, if you're not in a hurry to get to the Woodlands, I would go 5-10 minutes out of your way while heading through Houston to hit up Specs on Smith. I don't know if they still have Blakkr though.

Since Houstonians are stuck in traffic and unable to answer you......local stuff like Karbach. Texas beers Deep Ellum IPA, Lakewood Hop Trapp and Temptress, Cedar Creek Dankosauraus, Austin Beerworks stuff is decent...Fireagle IPA, Real Ale Gold Coast IPA, Devils Backbone Triple, Sissyphus....this list is Dallas and Austin heavy as I don't know what Houston brewers bottle/can except Karbach and of course St Arnolds.
Blakkr is still readily available at most places in Dallas so I would assume the same in Houston. If you are near a wholefoods its worth going there as they have a pretty good selection especially local stuff.
