I tried both in the same month or so and thought the opposite. So I go to South of Philly.

I also like the Philly at Sammy's on Highland Road.

I prefer philly me up to SOP. And the Da Gumbo Sammich from PMU is outstanding.

Don't mind Philly Me Up when you can find a place to park.

There used to be a place on Sherwood close to I12 that had one of the best philly's I've ever had. Can't remember the name of it off hand.

I was sold on SoP, but had never been to PMU. Started a job closer to PMU so went out of convenience. Have to say I liked it better.

I've only been to SoP, and really like it.

That spicy Tiger Philly is great.

Was a big fan of SOP for years, had an inedible Tiger Philly in PVille location year ago.

Finally tried PMU this past year, and like it better.

I'm in with South of Philly as the best. I like the bread they use and their fries to go with the cheesesteak. They are a good steak and cheese to facehole delivery mechanism.

Philly Me Up makes a really good sandwich as well, though. No stones thrown their direction at all.

I think I like SoP better too...at least for a Classic Philly cheesesteak. I actually prefer both SoP and PMU to the cheesesteak I had in Philly. Need to try some different places next time I'm up there though.

now serves cheese steaks on what amounts to a hotdog bun. Yet, their prices are higher.

Jersey Mike's is my favorite.

Charley's Cheesesteaks in Mall of LA isn't bad, either.

Philly Me Up is my tops. I’ve had South of Philly and it didn’t match up.

We tried South of Philly in Gonzales a couple of weeks ago. It was okay. I got the Shrimp Philly and found the steak filling to be bland.
