Thinking about fishing the Ruddock area tomorrow

The area under 55 looks good from the interstate. Any tips? Reports? Am I wasting my time?

ditto that, but every time i've fished there i've gotten skunked. i used to catch black drum by the hundreds out of the pass around the power wires but that died off after 2011.

My dad and brother fished Manchac on Monday.
Caught (not kept) over 20 Redfish, 15 yellow cats, and a dozen or so big black drum.
They are running heavy thru the deeper water. All tight lined with dead shrimp

Where can you get shrimp in that area? Also was that in the pass near Lake P?

there's a tiny seafood market next to middendorf's. also sell turtle meat there. but they have fresh shrimp.

Yes under the I-55.
My brother and father nailed them earlier in the week.
Said ever red was over 22". Caught a bunch of nice drum and yellow cats.
All they did was tight line dead shrimp in deep water.
