Apparently, the most damaging Snowden revelations are still to come. Surprised Greenwald hasn't turned up dead.

I hope both he and that little bastard in Russia meet an unfavorable end.

How much more is there to release—and what burden do you feel to get it out there? We published the first article [about the NSA collecting Verizon phone records] while I was in Hong Kong last June and won't stop until we're done. I think we will end the big stories in about three months or so [June or July 2014]. I like to think of it as a fireworks show: You want to save your best for last. There's a story that from the beginning I thought would be our biggest, and I'm saving that. The last one is the one where the sky is all covered in spectacular multicolored hues. This will be the finale, a big missing piece. Snowden knows about it and is excited about it.

I'm just curious 74, - do you feel the same way about Ellsberg?

I wonder what the new, impending revelations will be and who they will effect the most?

I have heard they may have to do with 2012 presidential race...of course, no clue how anyone could even speculate that....

I remember a few weeks back that there was supposedly a list of names that the NSA had spied on that was due to be released.

Depending on who is on that list, that could be the big one he is talking about.

Ellsberg's leaks weren't nearly as damaging to national security as these potentially could be. And he hid out for a while but eventually decided to face the music. I think he should have gotten 25 years. He also didn't abscond the country with some of this nation's most sensitive materials, pass them along to a vindictive co-conspirator (who also lives outside the country) and then take his message of openness and freedom to frickin Russia.

Why did you ask me that, btw?

Because I'm torn about both of them, that's all.

One minute I'm on board with you re: Snowden - the next, I back off - I'm rarely this wishy-washy about something so significant.

Just wanted your take...

In the future, perhaps the DNI will avoid bald-faced lies to Congress?

Being that the Congressman was asking about a classified program in an open hearing, how would you have liked for Clapper to answer?

I get that he lied, but I also think he was in between a rock and a hard place.

Perhaps he will. I honestly can't relate that to the subject at hand, though.

Someone does not like the truth nor freedom from government spying on us?

Snowden cited Clapper's lie as catalyst for release.

I'm sure that was it. Freedom fighter that he is.

I agree he should have avoided directly perjuring himself, but that's as good as a yes. He had a responsibility to protect classified programs.

The question was indelicate and asked in the wrong forum.

When an agency goes as rogue as the NSA has been going, Snowden's are inevitable and they SHOULD be inevitable.

The people they hire are still raised in an environment that naturally tells them that was bull shite. Bitching about how one of those individuals decides to out your bull shite is missing the ENTIRE point of who is AT FAULT in the first place.

Snowden exists 100% because of what the NSA was doing. The NSA bears SOLE RESPONSIBILITY for any consequences of Snowden's actions.
