I'm new to this board, so I apologize if Germans, but I was wondering who everyone thinks the best announcers in all of sports are.

I'd go:

1. Doc Emrick - hockey
2. David Feherty - golf
3. Ian Darke - soccer

Emrick is number 1 in my mind and it isn't even close. He makes a sport that many people have no interest in, one of the most exciting events you'll ever see.

Agree with Emrick being the clear No. 1

Vin Scully has to be up there as well and Brad Nessler.

In all seriousness, yeah.

Gary Danielson is the best color guy in college football currently. People hate on him because he's associated with Verne, but he's the best in the business.

not a big golf or soccer guy so I can't comment on those 2, but Emrick is legit.

Vin Scully is my favorite. Al Michaels is well rounded, most people just think of football.

I like Mike Mayock a lot because he actually has knowledge and doesn't just throw out idioms all game long.

I've always wondered why most announcers have to be so boring.

Even if I don't agree with his view, he is very knowledgeable for sure (and he's by far my favorite analyst). He also just presents the game well. Big fan of MM

I'm more of a Blackledge guy, but Gary does do a great job. Really like both of them

I love Ian Darke but Andres Cantor is entertaining as hell.

I love them both.. I have no issues with people saying Blackledge is better.
