“If you were just a regular person, you turned on the TV, and you saw Eric Cantor talking, I would say—and I'm fine with gay people, that's all right—but my gaydar is 60-70 percent,” Schweitzer said in the interview
Also in the interview, Schweitzer compares fellow Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the Democratic senator from California who chairs the Intelligence Committee, to a prostitute.
"She was the woman who was standing under the streetlight with her dress pulled all the way up over her knees," he said about Feinstein’s position on intelligence gathering. “And now she says, 'I'm a nun,' when it comes to this spying. I mean, maybe that's the wrong metaphor — but she was all in!"

Schweitzer has proven to be an outspoken and sometimes random pundit since he was unable to run for a third gubernatorial term in 2012 because of term limits. Since then he has publicly pondered a presidential run, even traveling to the critical early caucus state of Iowa in December

Do you realize the outcry if it had been a republican that called Feinstein a prostitute

Jesus Christ! This sounds like the sort of things a politician might say in private to his buddies after he's had a few drinks, not what he would say on the record to a reporter. Can you inagine his other quotes that would be dug up if he decides to run for President? I like him because of his consistent nonintervention stance, but obviously he's not ready for primetime.

There was plenty of outcry on MSNBC this morning.

Why does this make him not ready for prime time? If this guy wants to call it like he sees it then I'm all for it. All of this PC crap is nuts.

the real story here is that he said men in teh south are effeminate.

He managed to disparage gays and Southerners at the same time. It takes real skill to do that.

How did that work out for Todd Akin?

Do not care about Todd Akin or anyone else that puts their foot in their mouth. If he makes mistakes then so what? Sometimes it is good to have someone come along and call people out. If it's harsh then so what?
How is all of this Politically correct bullshite working out?
BTW, you actually watch MSNBC?

Yes, along with FOX, PBS, CNN and occasionally Al Jazeera. Are you one of those that lets FOX do all your thinking for you?

Nope. I think for myself, thanks. I will watch PBS, BBC, fox and CNN. I prefer to read my news from foreign papers rather than have it spewed at me.
Care to get back on track? Wy so awful if Schweitzer lays his honest opinion out there?

I don't think he's awful, but I also acknowledge the reality of political correctness in 2014 America.
