Chests were puffed out. The song was given 150% at least, with extra cheese and bacon. Jurgen, showing once again what a charming and skilful diplomat he is, sung along. They looked like winners from the word go.

Yet half of our players can't be bothered to join in. Also, behind Mexico. Terrible list.

I don't have a problem with them not joining in. They're probably just soaking it in. As long as they aren't dicking around I'm fine with it

Anthems denied! The official explanation was that the PA system was broken, although it is equally possible that a Honduran player had just kicked massive holes in all the speakers at the ground.

Russia not having the number one anthem is insane. I heard it and wanted to chug some vodka and sucker punch a Ukrainian.

I hate saying this, but Russia and France have by far the best anthems.
