Is park hopper a waste of money since you will spend an entire day at one park?

how many people and how old are they? If you walk a lot, plan to eat in different parks and don't mind taking a break, then yeah park hop. If you're only going to do Disney this one time, then don't bother, hit each park for one day in this order MK, Epcot, HStudios, AnKingdom. HS and AK you can do in half a day if you're there early, the fireworks at HS suck, and nothing to see at night in AK.

Get it. Some parks take a day and a half or so.

Depends what you plan on doing really. Some don't wanna do everything in each park and wouldn't need an entire day.

It offers some nice flexibility, is that something you might be interested in?

No need for a park hopper unless you're trying to rush yourself.

Depends on where you are staying. We usually stay in the Boardwalk Villas and hit up Epcot almost every night, so park hopper is a must for us.

honestly, once I leave a park, I am typically too tired to go to another one...I wouldn't do it...

The park hopper was convenient for me. My daughter (almost 3yo) wanted to go to Magic Kingdom every day. So, we would spend the morning in one of the other parks - wherever we were eating lunch that day - then go back to the resort and let her nap, then go to MK in the afternoon. Worked for us - may not be the best option for everyone, however.

I like the park hopper because I like to different things in one day. I might spend the morning in magic kingdom and an evening in animal kingdom when the crowds are super heavy in magic kingdom. And like someone said above in order to go to a park and eat in a different one in the evening for dinner a park hopper is a must.

We bought park hopper last time and never used it, it was a waste of $250

If you've got young kids and have never been before, you need to spend the whole day in MK. If you're been a couple of times before and want to hit your favorite spots in each park you need the hopper.

The hopper also worked well for the extra magic hours. If you spend the day in Hollywood Studios, but Magic Kingdom has extra hours that same day, then you can do both.

No brainer...you will be pissed if you find you can stay in MK until 2AM and started in Animal Kingdom that closes at 7

I park hop all the time. But it really depends on your situation.

We always get them. They are especially useful if you want to eat at 2 different places at Epcot.
We also use them to hop to a park with extra magic hours (if you are staying onsite). Generally it's best to plan your days at parks that don't have EMH (they are usually the most crowded) and then you can go to the EMH park after non resort guests have left.

We don't get it. We will take a break and come back to the same park to do more rides or for the shows at night. Or just go for half a day and most of us are exhausted.
