Picked up a pack of Hebrews on sale and since I haven't made a dog in forever looking for the best way to cook it. I prefer on the grill but not firing up the charcoal grill for 2 dogs.
Any suggestions?

Plug George Foreman Grill in.
Place hot dogs on hot George Foreman Grill.
Close.
Wait a minute or two.
Open and remove hot dogs.
Eat.

..... Chinese Board?
I'd de-fur it first.
And weird. Didn't know they had those.

I cook them in a skillet on medium high heat sometimes. They get nice and crispy on the outside very quickly. Occasionally, I slice them in half and sear them on both sides. I do this mostly when I'm eating them without a bun.

I made crunchy nacho crescent dogs for my kids tonight. They turned out great. I might try making a quick calzone for the kids using this same method.

Are you cooking the ones in your avatar?
...
They look kinda tender. Can I come over? I'll bring beer.

The best hot dog I ever had was in Lanai at the turn on the Four Seasons mountain course.
Foot long dog, split in half lengthwise and grilled on a flat top griddle with those hawaiian red onions. They toasted the buns on the same grill.
This was so good it made me forget how badly I played on the front nine. That feeling was short lived though.

I still love those and I really like them puffed pastry around them and mustard. Dogs, sausage, whatever. No cheese for me, though. My sister makes them a lot for the kids for parties and the adults probably eat more than they do. Same with the pbj sandwiches.

Southern style hot dog. Boil. Steam bun, mustard, grated onion, bit of dill relish.

This is what I do and I like it just fine.

Never, ever boil meat. Ever.
